Role Overview
The Unified Communications Associate Manager leads the design, implementation, management, and migration of enterprise-grade voice, video, contact center, and collaboration infrastructure. This role encompasses oversight of multi-site deployments, A/V room systems across 120+ sites, contact center operations, and integration across Cisco, Microsoft, Avaya, and AWS platforms.
The Unified Communications Associate Manager leads the design, implementation, management, and migration of enterprise-grade voice, video, contact center, and collaboration infrastructure. This role encompasses oversight of multi-site deployments, A/V room systems across 120+ sites, contact center operations, and integration across Cisco, Microsoft, Avaya, and AWS platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Cisco & Microsoft Voice Architecture: Lead the architecture, administration, and optimization of CUCM clusters, UCCX, call recording, Cisco Jabber, and Webex. Design integrations between Cisco UC and Microsoft Teams (Direct Routing, CVI, Teams Phone System).
- Multi-Platform Contact Center: Manage hybrid contact center solutions, including Avaya AIC (24×7 operations), AWS Connect (English support), and Amazon Contact Lens for sentiment analytics.
- A/V & Workplace Services: Oversee 120+ audio/visual systems, Microsoft Teams Rooms Pro, room booking systems, and hybrid meeting environments across sites.
- Operations & Service Management: Perform root-cause analysis on complex issues, optimize QoS across SD-WAN/MPLS networks, manage changes via ServiceNow, and coordinate with 24×7 offshore NOC teams in Egypt and India.
- Leadership & Strategy: Manage UC projects, evaluate vendors, enforce security standards, and mentor junior technical staff.
Key Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 7+ years of progressive experience designing and managing complex enterprise UC environments.
- Protocols: SIP, H.323, MGCP, SCCP, RTP, SRTP.
- Platforms: Cisco UC suite, Microsoft Teams, Avaya AIC, AWS Connect, Amazon Contact Lens.
- Observability & ITSM: ServiceNow, SolarWinds, Dynatrace.
- Languages: Bilingual Arabic and English proficiency required (must support bilingual IVR, voicemail, and attendant systems).
- Certifications (Desirable): Cisco CCNP Collaboration or CCIE Collaboration.
