Role Overview
Multis UK Limited is hiring a Junior Backend Developer to work on production systems and online marketplace projects. The position offers flexible employment options (part-time, full-time, or contract) in a remote work setup.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop backend features using PHP and SQL, and maintain REST APIs.
  • Manage database operations, search systems, and external integrations.
  • Perform bug fixing, testing, and application performance optimizations.
  • Utilize modern AI development tools with guidance from senior engineering staff.
Key Requirements
  • Core Technical Knowledge: Basic familiarity with PHP (or another backend language), SQL, Git, and REST APIs.
  • Soft Skills: Strong logical and analytical thinking, willingness to learn, and reliable communication within a remote team environment.
  • Hands-on experience with PHP 8+, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, Docker, Linux, or Elasticsearch.
  • Basic understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure), automated testing, or AI coding assistants.
