1. Scope and acceptance
These Terms govern access to and use of seekme.ph, including accounts, listings, messages, paid promotions and support services. By using SeekMe you agree to these Terms and the policies referred to in them. If you use SeekMe for a business or another person, you confirm that you are authorised to bind them.
1.1 Operator
SeekMe is operated by SeekMe UK Ltd, company number 17319731, with registered office at 20 Wenlock Road, London, England, N1 7GU. SeekMe makes the platform available to the Philippine market and may use local and international service providers to operate it.
1.2 Platform role
SeekMe is principally a classifieds and advertising platform that helps an advertiser and an interested user find and contact each other. Unless a specific service expressly states otherwise, SeekMe does not conclude, supervise or guarantee the transaction between users and does not take possession of goods, arrange delivery, employ candidates or act as a property or vehicle broker.
1.3 Philippine laws and mandatory rights
You must comply with applicable Philippine law, including the Internet Transactions Act of 2023 (Republic Act No. 11967), the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), the Consumer Act of the Philippines (Republic Act No. 7394), the Electronic Commerce Act of 2000 (Republic Act No. 8792), their implementing rules and category-specific laws. Nothing in these Terms excludes a right or duty that cannot lawfully be excluded.
2. Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate and current information, keep login and verification credentials secure and use only accounts you are authorised to use. You must be legally capable of entering into the relevant transaction. We may request identity, contact, authority, ownership, business or licensing evidence where reasonably needed for safety, compliance or category rules.
2.1 Private and business status
You must select and maintain the correct account or advertiser status. A person advertising in the course of trade, profession or business must not present as a private seller. Business sellers and other commercial advertisers must provide the legal name, address, contact details, registration or permit information and other disclosures required by applicable law.
3. Listings and communications
Listings and messages must be accurate, current, lawful and not misleading. You must have the right to offer the item, property, role or service and to use all text, photos and other content. You must disclose material terms, price, condition, defects, restrictions, charges and commercial status where relevant. Do not impersonate another person or business, manipulate reviews or engagement, send spam or move a user off-platform to facilitate fraud.
3.1 Prohibited and regulated content
You must not advertise unlawful, stolen, counterfeit, dangerous or prohibited goods or services. Regulated goods and services may be listed only where lawful and where all required registrations, licences, permits, warnings and disclosures are in place. SeekMe may restrict a category or request evidence even if an item is not expressly named in these Terms.
3.2 Vehicles
A vehicle advertiser must have lawful ownership or authority to advertise and must accurately state the vehicle identity, registration status, mileage, condition, material defects, financing or encumbrances and other relevant facts. Users should independently check the vehicle, ownership and Land Transportation Office documentation before paying or signing.
3.3 Property
A property advertiser must have authority to advertise and must accurately describe the property, price or rent, location, availability, charges and material conditions. Brokers, salespersons, developers, lessors and other regulated participants remain responsible for all applicable licences, registrations, permits and disclosures. Users should verify title or authority and use qualified professional advice before paying or signing.
3.4 Jobs and services
Job and service listings must identify the genuine opportunity and advertiser, describe material conditions accurately and comply with applicable labour, recruitment, licensing, immigration and anti-trafficking rules. Advertisers must not request unlawful fees, documents or sensitive information. SeekMe is not the employer or recruiter unless a listing expressly identifies SeekMe in that role.
4. Checks, moderation and AI assistance
SeekMe may use automated tools, AI-assisted checks, risk signals and manual review to detect spam, fraud, duplication, prohibited content or other risks. A flag or score supports review and is not automatic proof of wrongdoing. We may ask for more information, limit visibility, refuse publication, remove content or restrict an account where reasonably necessary.
5. User transactions and safety
You are responsible for evaluating another user, inspecting goods or property, checking documents and licences, agreeing terms and selecting a safe payment or delivery method. Do not send money or sensitive data until you have completed appropriate checks. SeekMe does not guarantee the identity, authority, quality, legality, availability or performance of a user or listing.
6. Paid services
Prices, duration, included features and taxes for a promotion, listing package or subscription are shown before purchase or in an accepted order or invoice. Payment buys the specified advertising service and does not guarantee views, enquiries, rankings, sales, hires or any other result. You must pay all valid charges associated with your order.
6.1 Cancellations and refunds
Refund eligibility depends on the service, whether performance has started, the reason for the request and applicable law. A statement that a service is non-refundable does not override mandatory consumer rights or remedies for a service not supplied as promised. Submit a support ticket with the order number and relevant evidence so the request can be assessed.
7. Reports, complaints and cooperation
You can report a listing, user, payment, privacy concern or suspected unlawful activity through the Support Ticket page. Include the listing URL, account details, dates, screenshots and supporting evidence. We may preserve records, seek further information, notify an affected user, restrict content or cooperate with regulators and law enforcement where required or permitted by law.
8. Suspension and termination
We may warn, restrict, suspend or close an account, listing or feature where we reasonably believe these Terms or law have been breached, a risk exists, verification is incomplete, fees are unpaid or action is needed to protect users or the platform. Where appropriate, a user may request review through a support ticket.
9. Intellectual property
You keep ownership of content you submit but grant SeekMe a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, format, display and distribute it as needed to operate, promote and improve the service. You confirm that you have the necessary rights. SeekMe branding, software and platform content may not be copied or used without permission.
10. Privacy
Personal data is handled as described in the seekme.ph Privacy Policy. Public listings can be viewed and shared by others. Only publish information you are authorised and comfortable to make public, and do not place unnecessary identity documents, financial information or other sensitive personal data in a listing.
11. Availability and liability
SeekMe is provided on an as-available basis. We do not promise uninterrupted access or that every listing or user has been verified. To the extent permitted by law, SeekMe is not responsible for losses arising from a transaction between users, reliance on a listing, third-party conduct or events outside our reasonable control. This does not limit liability or statutory rights that cannot lawfully be limited.
12. Changes
We may change the platform or these Terms to reflect legal, safety, technical or business developments. Material changes will be communicated in an appropriate way and will apply from the stated effective date. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms and use of seekme.ph are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without depriving a consumer of mandatory protections available under applicable law. Please contact support first so we can try to resolve a dispute. A user may also use any complaint, regulatory or court process available under Philippine law.
